Multi-Divisional Timetables (MDT) to Simplify School Operations
iSAMS today announced the full release of its Multi-Divisional Timetables (MDT) feature, an innovative tool designed to streamline scheduling for complex educational institutions. This new feature allows schools to create separate timetables and registration periods for multiple divisions.
MDT is particularly beneficial for schools with multiple campuses, different tiers (e.g., K-8, K-12), or distinct divisions that operate on separate schedules. Previously, schools were limited to one timetable structure per week. With MDT, schools can now manage multiple schedules simultaneously, providing greater flexibility and operational efficiency.
“We are delighted to bring the MDT feature to our schools,” said Alastair Price, Managing Director at iSAMS. “We understand the complexities of managing diverse school structures. MDT will simplify scheduling and administrative tasks, allowing educators to focus on what matters most – their students.”
In addition to the core MDT functionality, the company has also updated its Cover Manager module, allowing schools to manage staff and room cover across all divisions within a single cover cycle.
A new ‘My Schedule’ dashboard widget will also be rolled out, replacing the old ‘My Timetable’ widget. This new widget provides a clear, at-a-glance view of a user’s timetable, making it easier for teachers who work across multiple divisions to see their schedule in one centralised location.

The MDT feature will be rolled out to all schools in a phased approach throughout September. Schools interested in an earlier activation can contact their Customer Account Manager.
