Everything you need to manage and take the school register
Register students present or absent, you can store information such as lateness, reason for absence, or attendance outside of the traditional registration times. There’s also a handy feature for entering, en masse, the absence of students in the event of a school closure or similar.
The module’s communication features include the facility to pass information to students or groups of students at registration time, or to identify and contact a student’s family based on specified attendance criteria.
Fully Customisable
You can customise most of the features and layout and also set constraints – for example fixing the time period at which registration must be taken, or limiting the historical data a teacher can see when taking registration.
You can also customise the reporting features within the module, with a variety of screen styles for choosing and displaying attendance information, and selectable reports for showing attendance patterns of individual students, groups of students or the entire school.
The modules used most frequently across the school are, of course, Registration Manager, the simplicity of which is very valued by our teachers, and Cover Manager, which makes an essential job as easy as it can be.
The Registration module has proved extremely popular with teachers. Not only does it mean no more paper-based registrations, but teachers can teach and take the register using an iPad anywhere on site, as well as on school trips.
As something we struggled with in our previous MIS, and as a core part of our daily operations, getting registration right was essential – and iSAMS has yet to fail us. The Registration module just works and the wealth of reports available means that, whether it’s missing pupils or incomplete class registers, you’ll always be able to find the information you need.
New English School Kuwait believes that 500 staff hours have been saved each year on registration alone.
The school used to send prefects around to collect the registers from each classroom but no longer need to do this. Registration and sends immediate notifications back to the office.
