If you're a parent or student at a school that uses iSAMS Cloud Portals, these answers cover the questions we’re asked most often.

Please note: iSAMS do not publish a list of portal links, nor do we store any login details. Please contact your school administrator if you have any trouble logging in or accessing the portals.

How do I find and log in to the iSAMS Cloud Parent or Student Portal?

Your school will usually share the Cloud Portal link by email, letter, or through its website. Each school has its own portal URL, so iSAMS cannot provide a universal login link.
Open the link in your browser on your phone, tablet, or computer. You can then log in with your existing details or follow your school’s instructions to create an account. If you cannot find the link or your login does not work, contact your school administrator.

Do I need to download an app or use a school code?

For the new Cloud Portals, you do not need to download a separate parent or student app. The portal works through your device’s web browser and can be added to your home screen for one-tap access, similar to an app.
Your school may provide an access code and temporary password, or other setup details, when your account is created. If you previously used a school code for a legacy app, check your school’s latest guidance before trying to use it again.

The school code is a 3-6 character code that links the iSAMS App to the schools’ servers. The code can be obtained from the school or should have been provided to you when the school informed you of the App. Contact the school if you don’t know the code or have any problems.

How do I create my Cloud Portal account?

Your school will send the setup instructions you need. These may include an access code, a temporary password, and a link to your school’s Cloud Portal.
• Open the Cloud Portal link in your browser.
• Select the option to create an account, if prompted.
• Enter the access details provided by your school.
• Create a secure password and complete the setup steps on screen.
• Use your new login details to access the portal.
If any part of the setup does not work, contact your school administrator. iSAMS cannot reset or confirm your individual account details.

I’ve forgotten my password. How do I reset it?

Select the ‘Forgot Password’ option on the Cloud Portal login screen and follow the instructions to reset your password. If you do not receive the reset email, check your junk or spam folder first. If it still does not arrive, contact your school administrator.

My account is locked, blocked, or disabled – what should I do?

Accounts may be locked after several unsuccessful sign-in attempts. If this happens, contact your school administrator so they can check your access. If your account has been disabled, your school will need to re-enable it before you can log in again or reset your password.

How do I change my password?

Once you are logged in, go to your account settings and choose the option to change your password. Follow the on-screen instructions and make sure your new password meets your school’s security requirements.

How do I add the Cloud Portal to my phone or tablet home screen?

Open your school’s Cloud Portal in your mobile browser, then use your browser’s share or menu option to add it to your home screen. This lets you open the portal quickly without searching for the URL each time.
If you are using an iPhone or iPad and want to receive notifications, you may need to add the portal to your home screen before notifications display.

I’m not receiving notifications. What should I check?

Check that notifications are enabled in the Cloud Portal settings and in your device or browser settings. If notifications are still not appearing, contact your school administrator so they can check whether notifications are enabled for your account and the information your school has chosen to publish.

How do I access school reports or other information?

Reports and other information are available through the Cloud Portal once your school has published them and given you the right access. Depending on your school’s setup, parents may be able to view academic reports, attendance information, assessments, calendar notices, medical information, payment information, and other updates. Students may also be able to view assignments, grades, attendance information, and feedback.
If something is missing, it may not have been published yet, or your account may not have permission to view it. Contact your school administrator if you believe you should be able to see it.

Why can’t I see certain information in the portal?

The information you can see depends on what your school has made available and the access permissions linked to your account. If you believe information is missing or incorrect, contact your school administrator.

The Parent Portal says ‘no family is linked’ – what does this mean?

This usually means your parent account is not linked to your child’s student record. Contact your school administrator, who can check the link between the student record and your parent account and correct it if needed

What if my school is still using a legacy portal or app?

Some schools may still be using legacy portals or apps while they move to the new Cloud Portals. Your school will confirm which system you should use and whether you need to take any action. If you are unsure, follow the most recent instructions from your school or contact your school administrator.

What if my issue is not listed here?

Contact your school administrator with details of the issue, including the portal link you are using, what you were trying to do, any error message you saw, and the device or browser you were using. This will help your school investigate more quickly.
