Their holistic approach prepares students for the next stage in their personal and academic journeys.
Looking for a system to record and report on wellbeing and safeguarding concerns
We had previously recorded safeguarding and wellbeing issues on a physical paper-based system, which was filed away in locked cabinets. This made it difficult to keep track of concerns because records weren’t easy to access or follow up on. As we were already using iSAMS, the Wellbeing Manager addition seemed to fit in seamlessly.
The Raised Flag system is a convenient way for all relevant staff members to be made aware of any students who need monitoring – with a range of different pastoral flags – from mild to severe. Being able to add comments to concerns makes providing additional information easy and accessible to the safeguarding team. Creating a concern quickly using the wizard bar has been the most convenient way for staff to record issues – making it a more usable tool amongst staff.
In this short Q&A session, Lyndsay Newman, Customer Account Manager was joined by Nicole Svensson, Designated Safeguarding Lead at Rome International School to discuss our Wellbeing Manager module and the growing importance of wellbeing management in schools.
Watch a DemoMigrating to Wellbeing Manager
As we were already using iSAMS, the Wellbeing Manager module was incredibly easy to set up. I was able to contact Lyndsay, our Customer Account Manager, for a demonstration and then trial the system before adopting it. Our staff didn’t require much training at all, the module is very user friendly – particularly for capturing concerns.
Our teachers are able to see which students in their rota need special attention from the moment they take the register. From that perspective, Wellbeing Manager has helped us to improve our monitoring of students.
