Looking for a flexible MIS that will grow with the school
We looked at a variety of MIS solutions that are offered to schools but ultimately decided to go with iSAMS because it gives you the greatest flexibility, the best graphical user interface (GUI) and it is not a stagnant system. Something we really value in iSAMS is their desire to continuously evolve their MIS system. Schools such as ours will increasingly find themselves facing new challenges with data management, and iSAMS will give us the flexibility and support we need moving forwards.

We are a new school, so we needed to be thorough when selecting which MIS provider we were going to go ahead with to support us with effectively managing and storing our data; from admissions right through to final exams. All of our research pushed us towards iSAMS, which met each of our criteria.
As we were a new school when we first opted for iSAMS, we set up our MIS system with them from the very beginning. This meant that we could begin with a blank canvas, training our staff on effectively using iSAMS to ensure that we capture all our important staff and student data accurately from the start. Not only this, but implementing additional functionality is relatively straight forward as each module follows the same design and user experience.

Using the iSAMS System
One of the things that initially attracted us to iSAMS is the slickness of the GUI design. Following the release of their new User Interface, iSAMS looks much better and really offers our staff a robust, flexible platform.
The age of our students ranges from 3 – 18-years, so we needed a system that met our varying needs throughout the different stages of the school. What iSAMS provides us with is a uniquely adaptable system, that enables us to turn our modules off or on, with further flexibility in the reporting services side of things.

One of the system functionalities that we use most often surrounds boosting student/teacher communications. The tools iSAMS provides us with are not only great for auditing purposes, but also help us standardise communication throughout the school. As part of this, their module to help us track and manage reward and conduct is highly intuitive and flexible, feeding into other modules to help us gain a complete picture of student records.
Something else we are particularly pleased with is the reporting aspect of iSAMS. The functionality within this module is superb and meets our various needs perfectly. Their dedicated Reporting Services team are also available to help wherever needed to make sure we’re really making the most of these features.
What happens if something goes wrong?
The support iSAMS offer is excellent. We are really grateful for all the assistance their teams provide, from back end fixes to easy ‘how to’ solutions. It is always a pleasure to speak with someone at iSAMS and they are great at finding solutions.

The impact iSAMS has had on our school has been huge. We are now able to make more data-informed decisions and we can get the right data to the right people, at the right time. We have developed much cleaner communication protocols for our growing school and we are increasing our ability to communicate with the wider community – all through iSAMS. Overall, we love it!
