Getting the most from your MIS

iSAMS offers a range of training services for new and existing schools. We have a dedicated, experienced training department – and whether your school requires an all-day training session for key staff or an individual requires a quick 30-minute webinar session for a recap, our training team are ready to help.

On-site implementation training is arranged at the beginning of a school’s migration over to iSAMS. Once the data has been transferred by the install team, your school’s designated trainer will contact you to discuss your requirements and agree dates for the training. We employ ex senior school staff as our training consultants. They have a vast knowledge of the iSAMS system, but more importantly, they know how a school ticks. We work closely with your school to put together a personalised training plan to ensure the system and its users are ready for a successful launch. The training takes various forms, from 1 to 1 training with key members of staff, to classroom or whole-school, theatre-style training – whichever suits your school’s needs.

As well as helping schools to launch iSAMS, we also offer training courses at our training centre in Northampton. These courses range from the focusing on the administrative side of the system to Academic Management and also technical Reporting Services (SSRS) training. Our training courses offer schools a great opportunity to learn and develop their own skills whilst also building relationships with colleagues from other schools.

For our existing schools, where there has been a change of personnel or where they are looking at implementing and rolling out new areas of the system, we can offer consultancy to identify the areas where further training would be beneficial – and then design bespoke training plans to ensure these changes are a success.

We also provide on-line training: ideal for refresher training or for international schools where a ‘quick’ visit might not be appropriate for a one or two-hour requirement. This can be arranged individually, focusing on one topic, or with groups of schools looking at particular processes in iSAMS – for example, the end-of-year rollover.

The iSAMS training team regularly releases new dates for the various training courses on offer, and we publish them through the iCommunity site.
