iSAMS Expands its Presence into South Africa

iSAMS, a leading web-based management information system for schools in the UK, announced its entry into the South African market today – maximising its coverage as a world-class management information supplier for schools in South Africa.

Entering the South African market supports the company’s business growth strategy in providing schools with an affordable, reliable and scalable web-based management information solution. iSAMS is currently used by over 950 schools worldwide, with over half a million active users on the platform each day.

“South Africa is an important region for iSAMS, and we are committed to providing schools with a secure and scalable MIS platform which is competitively priced and well supported locally.”

Alastair Price, Director and Co-Founder of iSAMS

iSAMS also announced the appointment of Rachel Cauldwell, previously the co-owner of PencilBox and a recognised industry expert, as iSAMS’ Implementation, Support and Training Consultant. Rachel will lead the direction of all local partnerships with schools in South Africa.

Rachel visited the iSAMS Head Office in Northampton, England where she received in-depth training and met with the team.

“The iSAMS implementation and data conversions have been carefully thought out to ensure a smooth transition; each installation is planned around the individual needs of each school.“

iSAMS will support schools still running PencilBox by working with them to prepare their data for the migration to the iSAMS software, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal impact to the schools.

“iSAMS is a group of forward-thinking individuals committed to education and ensuring that the very latest technology and development techniques are used to continue as the leading MIS for schools the world over. As an international company, iSAMS has the capacity to ensure best practices are always maintained and achieved.”

iSAMS helps schools in South Africa improve performance with an integrated management information system which includes a suite of portals and apps for parents, students and staff, now giving schools full control of all academic, wellbeing, sport/culture, administrative and financial information.

The iSAMS MIS platform supports local requirements such as LURITS and offers a data sync to SA-SAMS. Furthermore, iSAMS’ comprehensive APIs offer schools the ability to connect with local third-party integrations, including Fixtures Pro from SOCS and others.

“We are incredibly excited at the opportunity to provide schools in South Africa with a trusted management information system. We hope to bring our global expertise into this region to ensure we deliver a school MIS solution that works.”
