iSAMS’ Coronavirus (COVID-19) Policy
Last Updated: 19th March 2020
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was first reported from Wuhan, China, on 31st December 2019. Since then it has spread rapidly and is now impacting every single one of us – from our families to our schools, business and community life.
With different governments releasing various travel policies and guidance surrounding the outbreak, we want to reassure you that our services will largely continue as normal.
“Together, we are facing difficult times and, on behalf of iSAMS, I want to extend our sincere sympathies to all those who have been impacted by the coronavirus.” Said Managing Director, Alastair Price. “We want to reassure our schools that we are focused on the health and safety of our employees, clients and communities, whilst remaining dedicated to supporting them with uninterrupted service during this time.”
For more details surrounding our operational approach during this time, please see below.
iSAMS and iFinance System Access
iSAMS is 100% web-based, so your staff members will continue to have access to the iSAMS MIS and iFinance accounting system if they find themselves working from home due to schools having to close, needing to care for family members, or indeed, being required to self-quarantine.
Staff members will also still be able to communicate with students and colleagues, as well as sending important updates to parents, through the iSAMS system.
Accessing Technical Support and Product Development
Because our business operates under a 100% remote working policy, all of our employees around the world are well-equipped to continue working from home whilst delivering a high quality, professional service to our schools.
Our Development Team will continue to design new features and product enhancements to ensure the iSAMS software continues to progress and evolve to meet the needs of our client schools.
Each of our schools will also still have 24/7 access to our dedicated Support team as normal, with our live support hours unaffected by these circumstances.
Onsite Training
Following advice from the UK Government and to protect the health of our employees and schools, we have now re-organised any scheduled onsite meetings to virtual environments, and we have postponed our provision of onsite training.
However, we will continue to monitor the situation and evaluate this policy in accordance with Government advice.
In the meantime, we are happy to provide remote support if you would like to book an online meeting with our Training Team.
Support for our Schools
We are delighted to be able to offer our schools the use of a variety of features, if you don’t use them already, to help you communicate with parents, students and staff members, and continue student learning.
The following is available free of charge from 26th March to 1st September 2020:
- iParent, iStudent & iTeacher Apps
- SMS Messaging Service
- Admissions Portal
