As our growth continues, we are looking for an ambitious and driven individual to join our successful customer account management team. You will work on leads generated by the marketing team to secure and maintain prospect schools as clients as well as supporting existing schools already using the iFinance platform. Our ethos is one of developing relationships rather than on the hard sell so you will be committed to building lasting relationships to drive customer satisfaction; ensure the iFinance profile is strong; and drive sales of the full iFinance product/service portfolio. You will also attend exhibitions and conferences to network and generate leads.

Your previous experience as a finance professional will make you confident in identifying opportunities and managing the full sales process. You will keep up to date with education, market and competitor developments to plan, forecast and maintain a credible approach.

This field-based role requires nationwide travel across the UK and occasional international travel but offers the opportunity to be home based for the rest of the time.

The working hours are full time, 37.5 hours with a need to be flexible around the travel requirements of the role.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Previous experience of working in an account’s role demonstrating a sound knowledge of accounting terminology and principles is essential. An AAT qualification or equivalent is required. A higher accounting qualification would be desirable.
  • Experience of working with a range of accounting packages is a must.
  • A track record of customer retention and sales growth in a previous role and/or successful account management experience of a Finance/SaaS product would be strongly advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commercial mind with good negotiation and influencing skills
  • Superb presentation skills both in person and by video call
  • An advocate of technology and confident in the use of IT for business purposes
  • Experience of the education market and knowledge of school finance packages is advantageous
  • Self-motivated team player who has fresh ideas
  • Confident using MS Office and Salesforce (the latter is advantageous)
  • Current valid driving UK licence
