Events Coordinator

We have a new opportunity for someone who is creative and extremely organised, loves to plan events with strong attention to detail. You should be able to manage multiple events across different countries and be comfortable with being completely hands on. You will be self-motivated and passionate about your work, confident working with internal and external stakeholders as required.

You will report to our Senior Marketing Executive and work closely with the Sales, Marketing and Community functions. You will manage all global events (physical and virtual) that the company organises, attends, exhibits and/or sponsors to help increase brand awareness, drive competitive advantage, customer retention and produce long term profitable growth across UK and international markets. You will take full responsibility for managing the logistics of all events, including all collateral required and being available to support on site where required. Post event analysis will be also be part of the role.

The working hours are full time, 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday. Home based, with travel to the Head Office in Northampton and nationwide events as required by the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Marketing and Community team with events planning, organisation and full event execution
  • Work with the Sales team on regional events, webinars and trips to plan the best possible activities in terms of communication and logistics
  • Work with the Community team to co-ordinate customer events, webinars and training sessions which includes full execution from set up to post event feedback
  • Book venues, complete relevant forms (exhibition, sponsorship, grant application) and arrange logistics and accommodation for staff  attending, liaising closely with all relevant stakeholders internally and externally
  • Development and delivery of all supporting collateral including event invitations, events packs and all associated material
  • Liaise with external agencies and suppliers to ensure the required promotional materials are available to the iSAMS team attending and where necessary is delivered to the office or event location
  • Support key events on-site ensuring that all events run smoothly working with internal stakeholders
  • Manage and co-ordinate the supply of events merchandise and marketing materials such as printed collateral, gifts, stands, banners etc. This involves working closely with external agencies and in-house designers
  • Manage the post events analysis process for the events taking responsibility for capturing feedback and evaluation of ROI
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks or projects which support iSAMS business needs and are within the post holders’ capabilities

Person Specification – Knowledge, Skills & Experience required

  • Previous experience in an events or hospitality role demonstrating experience of coordinating the full events process
  • Ideally previous experience within a B2B tech company environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
  • Demonstrates a practical approach to solving problems
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Experience or knowledge of the education market is desirable
  • Good proficiency in MS Office applications. Confident using Office CMS systems and CRM systems (experience of using Salesforce/ Pardot and WordPress is advantageous)
  • Current valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for business use
